Aahh, the country life! The cozy comfort of rural living lies at the heart of all forms of Cottage Country decorating. However, the versions of homey, rustic Country decorating that dominated the latter half of the 20th century have become worn and outdated. It's time to give Country decorating style a fresh look for a new era. Fortunately it isn't necessary to complete redecorate a Country style home to update its look. Whether a home's version of Country is French, Tuscan, Lodge, and more, a few new colors, materials and textures will provide a new, lively look.
Plants and living things are an integral part of rustic decorations. The bonsai trees, Jasmines, oranges and pine trees add to rustic atmosphere, plus the aroma they impart and the freshness of the air refreshes the soul. Water is also a key feature for rustic decoration. Beautifully tiled fountains provide any room the gentle sounds of flowing water, lending a perfect audible presence to your rustic atmosphere. It really doesn't matter where you live or how you choose to arrange your rustic furnishings - country-themed décor can and does work in the interior of any home. And with that rustic décor will come a sense of comfort as well as a feeling of being closer to nature... a feeling that many of us have lost in the mix of the city life.
